Black Lab Pups

It has been awhile since I have been on here. Too busy rescuing dogs, drove down to Boise, ID and back in one day. Picked up 4 more dogs..Here are some photos of the Black Lab pups I have in here, one has been adopted and the other is going this weekend...Dixie and Trixie. Dixie was playing too hard with the older dogs and got her eye scratched...had to sew up her third eyelid and this is waiting for her meds to be put in her eye, she is such a sweet thing and sooooo good...photos won't load, will try again later. Sorry

SAR Heidi

SAR Heidi

Steph and Tucker- 3 legged GSD
These are just some fun photos... Heidi was out of a litter that I rescued. 2 of the pups became SAR dogs... I was supposed to keep this one, but someone came along and saw the potential she had in her, now she has her Companion Dog Cert. and is being certified in SAR, and is a therapy dog, which she discovered all on her own...her owner has a brain tumor and Heidi lets him know just before he has a major headache that it is coming on...so he can take meds before it gets too bad...she is now a gorgeous dog too. More photos to follow...

The other photo, I got caught falling asleep on the couch. Tucker the 3 legged rescue dog decided to join me...He lost his leg as a 3 month old pup, came to me with his growth plate broken, it was pinned but the people didn't keep him confined so it rebroke and wouldn't heal. We had to have it amputated and now you would never know he didn't have a leg. He ran and played and swam in the pond with Ruger the Mal, more photos later...A wonderful family in Wyoming adopted this tripod dog and he is doing great...

In Loving Memory

IN LOVING MEMORY OF REESE AND RYAN

Reese and Ball, her favorite toy...

Reese and Ryan playing Tug 'O War

The Crew

Reese was rescued by me when she was 7 yrs old, she had terrible hip dysplasia, hurting so bad, she had a terrible limp, I took her in had the ball removed from her socket and voila'...no more limp, she swam in the pond and was the boss of all the other rescues...just this summer, she was playing, running, swimming, etc. Brought her in for her rabies shot at 10 yrs old...:-(

The day after her rabies shot, she quit eating and within 2 weeks she was gone...lost all control of her legs, back, etc...all the tests wouldn't reveal what it was, the drug company paid for all the tests, thankfully, is that an admission of guilt??? They couldn't prove that it was or wasn't the drug, or wouldn't tell...
She was very close to my heart and I miss her terribly...

Ryan was rescued with his mom at about 8 yrs old. His mom went onto find another forever home...Ryan stayed with me because no one wanted a dog with "hare feet". He was deformed and walking on his pasterns...he had a great zest for life and loved to tease all the other dogs...he was a big clown...he was put to sleep this last summer also, when his big body could no longer hold up his legs, he was a real sweet guy...loved everyone...I had him for about 2 1/2 wonderful years...
I miss you all, you have given me such joy in your being...thanks...
